We are a farm based brewery, operating in Gibsons BC. We source about 60% of raw materials for our beer from BC based suppliers. We are also a B-corp dedicated to providing fresh beer (a select few have hops we grow ourselves), and a community hub. In addition we grow veggies that we sell to staff, restaurants and the public.
Persephone Brewing Co. (PBC) operates an 11-acre farm and craft micro-brewery in the community of Gibsons on BC’s Sunshine Coast. PBC is operated by a small team of extremely passionate people committed to the vision of supporting amazing beer built through local agriculture, community connectedness, and partnerships. Producing the finest quality craft beer (15+ awards including a Land Award from the Real Estate Foundation), our “farmhouse” approach integrates onsite farming of hops – one of the principal ingredients in beer – and other food crops in support of local food security (i.e. “farm to table AND farm to barrel”).
We have a commitment to source products from BC whenever possible. The vast majority of the raw weight of our beer comes from BC grain suppliers. Our hops come from local suppliers or grown here on the farm. Most of our cask ingredients are locally forged or sourced. Our BC suppliers are: Gambrinus Malting Co operating in Armstrong BC, our biggest supplier & Chilliwack Hop Farms.
In addition we have an onsite food truck, FarmtoFeast, that reflects our values. They source food from local farms (Brookbank, Henry Reed, Roundtable, Persephone Brewing Company) and incorporate it into their food. Chef Anne has a commitment to using only locally sourced/forged and sustainable foods in her kitchen.
