The name Hunter - Gather references people gathering to share stories around locally sourced food and drink, and was established in 2017 by locals Hilarie and Grant Cousar. The idea 'sparked' to open a village based location after 20 years of running Whistler Cooks Catering. Already a favorite locals and visitors gathering place with long convivial tables, open kitchen and friendly service. The concept, which is counter order, allows for "no fuss" eat in dining, or take out. Featuring house smoked BBQ meats, thoughtful vegetarian and vegan dishes paired alongside locally crafted beer and BC boutique wines. Kuurne Farm in Pemberton grow our potatoes & root vegetables, Golden Ears Cheese Crafters in Maple Ridge produce our hard and blue cheese, and Lois Lake, Powell River - our ocean wise fish.
