The Similkameen Valley, with the towns of Keremeos and Cawston, is known as the fruit stand and organic farming capital of Canada. The warm, dry valley follows the Similkameen River and its temperature is moderated by a fresh wind that travels through the valley every afternoon – allowing for organic farming to thrive.
